Will skipping the 3000rpm centrifugation step in the Trans-Lentiviral Packaging System protocol before concentration cause a problem with titers?
It depends. If there is cell debris this causes the viral pellet following ultracentrifugation to be very viscous and this has led to lower than expected titers.
