What controls should be used with a CRISPRa library?
To establish optimal experimental conditions we recommend using Edit-R Non-targeting controls and a species-specific CRISPRa positive control. We provide Edit-R CRISPRa positive controls targeting human or mouse Titin (TTN) or OCT4 ( POU class 5 homeobox 1 (POU5F1)) genes. Additionally, selecting and testing CRISPRa guide RNAs against control genes with a known role in your phenotype of interest is useful during the assay development and are recommended as assays specific screening controls.
