Is it okay to use >90% confluency for the lentiviral packaging cells?
Although our protocol recommends a confluency of at least 90% for the packaging cells, it is hard to hit 90% exactly for confluency at the time of transfection and the cells will either be slightly less or slightly more than 90% confluency. We would prefer to work with the cells at 100% confluency over 80% confluency but would rather prefer to work with 80% confluency over 120% confluency.
