Can I re-transform my yeast ORF (in BG1805) into a regular E. coli strain like DH5alpha?

The MORF clones in the BG1805 vector can be transformed into a regular DH5alpha. However, the starting BG1805 vector (without any insert) will not grow in this strain. The sequence between the att sites contains cmR, which confers chloramphenical resistance and ccdB, which is toxic. This plasmid can be propagated in gyrA- strains. The ORF insertion replaces the cmR and ccdB genes and allows propagation in a standard E. coli strain.
